Together we can create a brighter future for our youth
Founded by Artesha Montgomery & Roy Jackson Jr.
Artesha Montgomery and Roy Jackson Jr are the founders of Forever Devoted To The Youth. Starting in 2022, the idea for Forever Devoted To The Youth was inspired by Roy and Artesha's personal experiences. Roy Jackson Jr has been incarcerated since May 6, 2011 for charges of assault in the first and second degree with a firearm. The story of a 14 year old girl named Gabby Cazares who committed suicide due to being bullied, and losing countless friends from gun violence, made him reevaluate his life and realize his mistakes. He understands how important it is to reach the youth in an inspirational way. Roy's sister, Artesha, was only seven years old when her older brother Roy was incarcerated. During her first visit with her brother behind the glass of the King County Jail, she broke down in tears because although she was only a child, she understood the concept of separation. This made her want to help youth with incarcerated loved ones. Artesha and Roy want to see more youth employment and involvement in career programs. They also want to see less violence, drug-overdoses, bullying, suicides and recidivism in communities Nationwide. What gives Artesha and Roy motivation is seeing a huge smile on the faces of the youth when they receive resources, apply themselves, and accomplish their goals
Our mission is to reduce gun violence, drug overdoses, bullying, suicides and recidivism amongst the youth by providing them
